Changing or Canceling Your Test Registration
If you are unable to take the LSAT on the date for which you are registered, you have two options that will remove the test date from your file. You may request a change to another date within the current testing year, which runs from June 2010 through February 2011 (if registered for a February 2011 exam, you may change to the next testing year). Or you may cancel your registration for a partial refund. Deadlines do apply.
NOTE: If you register for a specific LSAT administration during the regular registration period, you are not eligible for late registration for that same administration. Once you have registered for a test during the regular registration period, you may not withdraw or cancel your registration and reregister for that same test during the late registration period.
If you received a fee waiver, you need to request a cancellation of your test registration by the refund deadline. Your fee waiver will then be available for a future test within your fee waiver period.
If you miss the deadline:
If you do not request a refund or cancellation, or change your test date by the stated deadlines and do not take the test, your LSAC file will note “absent.” The absent notation is not a score of zero, nor will it be factored into any reportable scores on file.
You need not contact LSAC, as the test registration cannot be removed from your file after the refund/test date change deadlines have passed. You will have to pay the full registration fee if you register for another test date.
Test Date Change
Please note the deadlines and guidelines under Other LSAT Options (on the specific Test Date and Deadline page you selected). Late requests will not be processed.
The fee to change the date is $68 US ($71 CDN plus GST). The easiest and quickest way to change your test date is via your LSAC.org account. This will also give you instant access to available centers. Or, you may send the payment with a completed Test Date Change Form 
or a written request to (include a valid credit card number and expiration date with your request):

Be sure to include:
- your name, address, LSAC account number, last four digits of your Social Security or Social Insurance number, the test date, and first and second center choice desired
- your signature and current date
Test Center Change
You may change your test center if you meet the designated deadline and if there is space available at your requested center. Note that center changes for centers outside of the US, Canada, and the Caribbean must meet a specific registration deadline for those centers.
The fee for a center change is $35 ($36 CDN). For quickest processing, you may make a center change online. Or, you can call LSAC at 215.968.1001. Fax and online requests must be received by midnight (ET) on the deadline date. Telephone requests must be received by 4:45 pm ET (March–August); 7:00 pm ET (September–February).
